THE BUSKER: TAKING MALTA BY BUS

the busker, bus gig, malta

It's not that often you get to see one of the old Maltese buses on the road, and when you do it's most probably the converted souvenir-shop-on-wheels that seems to get all over the island faster than any local bus I've ever been on to date. Taking on board a tad of nostalgia for the old bangers along with an evident propensity to perform anytime anywhere, local band The Busker has come up with the perfect opportunity to combine the two. Basically, if you fancy a voyage back in time, taking a seat on a vintage Maltese bus and enjoying a live music performance, then The Busker Bus Gig is where you should be on Saturday, August 30.

The 'music trip', enhanced with colourful textures decorating the bus's interior for added psychedelic effect invites you to join the band on a journey visiting various spots around Malta, soundtracked by live music culled from The Busker's extensive repertoire. The pick-up and drop-off points will be at Coach & Horses. The bus will depart at 9:30 pm sharp. Tickets cost just €4 and of course, there is limited space so don't leave it too late to book your seat. There will probably also be a post-gig bash at Coach & Horses so bring your dancing shoes along too.
