Broken Promises is the latest single from young pop artist Stefan Galea. The new release follows Galea's participation in this year's edition of the Malta Eurovision Song Contest earlier this year, where he performed his song Light Up My Life. The singer has had a busy summer, spending a lot of time in the studio to work on new material with producer Cyprian Cassar and composer Muxu.
The new single is accompanied by a music video that was launched a few days ago. In a comment, Galea said the song was created together with his guitarist Kurt Aquilina, who has accompanied the singer onstage on various occasions. "This single highlights a new direction on my part", Galea added, referring to his decision to work on production with Cyprian Cassar himself. "The song has a very personal meaning to me, because it seeks to find truth as to whether the love we share towards an individual is honest or not, and not a relationship that serves to accommodate only one individual".
