Further to the release of their acclaimed Mad System album earlier this year, French band Festen, whose line-up includes Maltese bassist Oliver Degabriele, are tomorrow releasing a new EP. Simply titled B-sides, the EP features 4 tracks. Three of the tracks, two of which are off the Mad System album and the third a Nine Inch Nails cover featuring Isabel Sörling, were recorded at the Studio de l'Ermitage in Paris. The other track, Shadow Boxing, had until now had only been available as a digital download. The featured tracks collectively recount an imaginary film, in which Festen continuously change the scenario via a blend of improvisation and relentless groove. B-Sides is available exclusively on vinyl or as a digital download.
